The Center is a highly professional, state of the art recovery organization providing clients with a comprehensive approach that will sustain their recovery long term. It is crucial to have recovery support services as vital components of a recovery oriented continuum of care. Recovery doesn’t stop after treatment; it is a lifelong journey. We provide the on-going care needed to stay well.

Recovery for substance misuse, abuse or addiction begins when a person acknowledges they have a problem and then takes the necessary steps to become well. These are the steps most people go through to become well and stay well.

  1. Detox
  2. Treatment
  3. Recovery Care

The Center is a non-profit organization that offers professional personal programs and services for sustained recovery management. We are committed to providing:

HOPE: Opportunities to be with like-minded people who understand the unique challenges found in the lives of those in recovery. No one recovers alone. We need one another.

FAITH: Opportunities to learn how to engage in healthy thinking. A healthy mind produces healthier decisions for the body and all aspects of our lives.

LOVE: Opportunities to learn how to effectively communicate to enhance the quality of your relationships. Learning how to love is truly the answer to a happy and content life.

PEACE: Opportunities to discover the power found in the center of your being through the practice of meditation. Meditation reorients your perspective and establishes a deep calm within.

JOY: Opportunities to serve others. Once you start to feel stronger in your own recovery, you want to support others in theirs. Gratitude motivates us to help others.

What makes The Center so unique?

The Center takes a comprehensive approach to recovery by establishing individuals in new practices and ways of seeing themselves, others and situations. It is important to change our patterns of reacting to our experiences. For our problems do not lie in what we experience, but in the attitude we have towards them.

One of the key practices we teach is meditation. The practice of meditation helps to change our orientation of how we think. Most of us allow our thoughts to determine how we are going to behave. Meditation helps us to not only challenge our thoughts, but also shifts our attention to the center of our being and our breath. Focusing inwardly and not on our thoughts provides a stable and calming effect throughout the body.

Research has shown that the practice of meditation can reduce stress and anxiety that frequently trigger relapses. The three primary advantages of meditation are: it’s easy to learn, you can do it anywhere and it doesn’t cost anything.

Meditation can reduce stress and anxiety.
Meditation can also provide a stable and calming effect throughout our body.
